Custom 1/6 scale Leia Boushh
For something completely different than my usual work, well out of my comfort zone, i thought it might be a fun detour to as accurately as possible create one of my favourite Star Wars looks - Leia in Boushh disguise - as a 1/6 scale fully posable figure.
This was such a fun and challenging experience, working with entirely new mediums and processes, while applying skills and learnings from working in 3D. This was the first time I've worked with 3D prints, airbrushing, and tailoring of clothing, but I definitely think I've found a new hobby!

Creating hard surface parts in 3D and preparing for printing
Resin parts printed and ready to be primed before paint application
Several layers of acrylic airbrushing, weathering, and masking of decals
Working with multiple layers of acrylic metals to emulate chipped paint, and wear and tear
Assembling all the pieces and finishing with matte or gloss varnish depending on surface
Creating patterns for 1/6 scale tunic, cape, etc. Integrating wires and magnets into hems in order to shape and control folds and positioning of cloth pieces
Tailoring the clothing, pleating the pants, and creating other details such as the neck cover, and vest padding
Acrylic airbrushing the clothing, working in layers of simulated sun bleach, dirt, oil, etc
Creating, painting, and assembling the belts and accessories
Tailoring the gaiters, and airbrushing both boots and gaiters with dirt and wear
Hacking together a real DIY photo booth with LED lights
